Friends of St Oswald's

St Oswald’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

What is the Friends of Worleston School PTA?

Friends of Worleston School PTA is an open community of parent/grandparent volunteers working alongside the school/teachers/and other “friends” to benefit the school and ensure the best educational experience for all its pupils.

All parents and carers at St Oswald’s, Worleston CE Primary School are automatically a member once your child has enrolled in the school. It’s your association.

How does the PTA benefit the school?

Parents and care givers have a big impact on how well their children do at school. Taking an active role in your PTA is one of the ways you can make a difference and get involved:

  • We raise money to fund school initiatives through charity activities and events

  • We provide a social support network for parents

  • We provide volunteers and opportunities so that parents can support their child’s learning.

    Our PTA’s recently paid for:

  • Contribution to the Leavers’ Hoodies for Year 6

  • Cost of the coach to the New Vic Theatre to watch the Christmas Production

  • Spare school ties

    Our events:

Here’s a sneaky look at some of the fun we had last term:

  • Valentine’s Disco

  • Easter Hat/Egg competition

  • Cinema Night

Our PTA is one of nearly 14,000 members of Parentkind. Being a member provides us with advice and support, ensuring:

  • We run our PTA well according to good practice

  • Our events are properly insured, legal and safe
