Welcome to St Oswald's Worleston C.E. Primary School
St. Oswald’s Worleston is a happy and successful rural village school where children, adults and the wider community learn together in a caring Christian family.
We are justifiably proud of our high academic standards, achieved because of our small class sizes and committed teaching staff who know and value our children as individuals.
We highly value our family atmosphere and all work hard together to ensure that every person in our 'family' is happy, engaged and involved in all aspects of school life.
A Caring Christian Family Where We Grow Together
St Oswald’s is housed in a wonderful Victorian building which has been updated and modified to meet the needs of the modern curriculum. The accommodation comprises a recently built and spacious junior classroom over looking our playing field, a further junior classroom which is linked through a PE hall to the Infant department. The infants are housed in a double room while our new mobile classroom and conservatory, in conjunction with our new outdoor learning environments, provide a dedicated Foundation Stage area for children from two years old to five years old. Outside the school has a large playground, a spacious field with wildlife areas and an extensive area of fixed, large play equipment.
The school sits just over the road from St. Oswald’s Church, with which we have close links. Our children join the village community regulalry in celebration and worship. We hold half termly Celebration Services in church in addition to services which mark major events in the Christian calendar, including Harvest, Christmas, Easter and Pentecost.
Please come to visit our wonderful school to see for yourself!

'Our School rejoices in its foundation as a Church of England school. The Christian ethos is both implicit and explicit in our practice, policies and procedures. Our Christian distinctiveness is evident everywhere; from the entrance, and the Bible verses displayed throughout the school, to the children’s exemplary behaviour. Our values are based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and are theological and inclusive. They permeate the children’s whole experience and are at the heart of our curriculum and school life in order for them to thrive in the wider world.'
