Sea of Dreams Exhibit - Eleanor Y6

Date: 19th May 2017 @ 11:51am

Dear Parents/Carers,

We request your attendance to visit our Sea of Dreams exhibition this afternoon at 2:30pm.

This term, the whole school have been looking at a book called ‘Sea of Dreams’ in English. As a result, we have decided to hold an exhibition to show off all the amazing projects we have been working on together. Some of these include: character descriptions of a seagull, some outstanding artwork drawn by Years 5 and 6; and many more exciting surprises!

Sea of Dreams is a book about a young girl who goes to the beach everyday, to create an extravagant sandcastle. However, at night, a group of mythical creatures inhabit the castle. They go on a thrilling adventure under the enchanted sea and encounter a seagull and some beautiful mermaids. Due to the fact there is no language (it is a picture book), it appeals to children of all ages. This makes it more exciting as it allows the reader to create the story inside their head instead of just reading it.

You do not want to miss this event as you can see your child’s work proudly displayed in the hall and in the all of the classroom! It is an opportunity to view the progressing work of the children in our growing school. The afternoon will start with the parents gathering in the hall and then moving onto the classrooms to see the rest of the work. It will end at approximately 3:15pm in time for normal home time. It is a great way to see our school at its best.

We hope to greet you this afternoon.

Yours Sincerely,

Eleanor Platt and the rest of Years 5 and 6.
